Maryam brings eight years of experience as an educator in the Brookline school district and is currently pursuing her training in Mental Health Counseling at the University of Massachusetts Boston as a master’s level clinician. She holds licenses in elementary and special education and certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Maryam has a strong background in science and research, and she is an advocate for evidence-based practice in psychotherapy, with extensive experience working with diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.
Throughout her career, Maryam has focused on developing meaningful relationships with her clients, fostering a safe and welcoming environment where authenticity and autonomy are encouraged. She is also an executive board member of Rehearsal for Life, collaborating with the director to develop a curriculum designed to meet the social and emotional needs of adolescents with disabilities.
Maryam is open to working with all backgrounds, and she welcomes the opportunity to work with individuals of all ages.
